Imation a maker of portable storage solutions have released the Apollo a 2.5" portable storage device...

Imation a long term player in the removable storage industry have introduced a new 'Ultra Slim' external hard disk drive that they have termed the Imation Apollo.  The 2.5" hard disk drive offers high capacity (up to 320 GB) in a small and attractive enclosure.

The device comes bundled with their Total Media Backup software that is compatible with both Windows and Mac OS operating systems and includes powerful features for scheduled data backups and synchronization.

The product is powered by the USB bus and as such requires no external power supply, a feature that is now considered the norm with portable storage units such as these.

Imation have promised the release of a 3.5" variant, the Apollo Pro later on in the year.
